About

I can’t recall the first photograph I ever took or the origins of my interest in photography. However, when I was 15, I acquired a Pentax K1000 camera with a 50mm lens. I believe that moment marked the beginning of this lifelong journey, a continuous learning and unlearning of the art of photography.

I'm Mrinabh, a self-taught photographer drawn to the edges of things. Abandoned schoolhouses where chalk dust still seems to hang in the air. Mining towns that boomed and emptied within a single generation. Theaters where the velvet seats are rotting but the stage light still catches the dust just right. These are the places I look for — the ones that hold memory in their walls, that ask you to be still and listen.

If a photograph can make someone feel the weight of a place they've never visited, I've done my job.
