About 35mm PoV and digital MF fixed lens camera
Getting comfortable with 35mm focal length was not as difficult as going to 28mm; for everyday journaling styled photography. As a landscape and fine-art photographer, I am no stranger to wide focal lengths but this is not my home turf. It could be a phase but as long as I am making photographs in this genre had to find a way around and beyond the fifty.

I believe the “aha moment” that marked the beginning of my 28mm photography journey was this photograph of a stunning Ford F-150 I captured a few months ago. The lighting was perfect—late afternoon sun—allowing me to get uncomfortably close to the subject. I realized what the 35mm full-frame equivalent lens on my X100VI could achieve, and I distinctly recall, even before taking the shot, that I would feel much more comfortable using this focal length in the future.
Fast forward to replacing the camera with the GFX100RF, I became increasingly comfortable with the 35mm perspective viewfinder. Consequently, the 28mm equivalent lens on this medium format camera felt excessively wide. However, thanks to digital crop, I could adjust it to 35mm.
