The stops I’ve always promised myself
There's a certain kind of guilt that lives in the rearview mirror; the windmill you sped past, the store sign you almost turned around for, the sleepy little town you told yourself you'd visit "next time." This time, I finally stopped. Camera in hand and no agenda but curiosity, I wandered the roadside corners I'd been promising myself for years. What I found wasn't spectacular in the way postcards are it was quieter than that, and somehow more real. These are the photographs from the stops I should have always been making.
